Platform: Windows 10 Home Single Language Version 1803 17134.320 (X64) Language: English (United States) Loaded Profiles: ElingP (Available Profiles: ElingP) Running from D:\Users\ElingP\Downloads\Programs Scan result of Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) (圆4) Version: The log from the FRST64 is attached bellow. This laptop is kinda new, so a hard disk format is kinda feasible, but any help would be very appreciated for. I can actually still use this laptop for everyday task, but the knowledge that my laptop is affected and unable to be updated is bothering me. Eventually, I'm trying to ask for help here. I also checked the msconfig, but there's nothing suspicious that's auto starting. It found some suspicious things and I cleaned it again, but still no luck until now. Lastly, I tried the last step on the forum I linked above, which is to run Zemana AntiMalware. I quarantined all of them, but still no luck after restarting.

Then, I tried to full scan with Avast and SMADAV, resulted with some suspicious file found.

After restarting again, I was able to run the Avast (it's not blocked anymore), but no luck with Windows Update and Windows Defender. After restarting, I also run the Adwcleaner and quarantine all the bad result. I installed and run the Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit, scan, then clean. I tried all the steps there (except posting the logs because there's no one to analyze it). I tried to find the solution more thoroughly on the internet and found this thread from Bleeping Computer forum ( ) that's talking a problem related to mine. But there's no luck for the antivirus and Windows Update. I was able to turn on the Firewall again by following the instruction on the internet by reactivating it from Services. I checked for Windows Firewall, it's turned off. Then I checked for Windows Defender, it's also blocked. There's no any other account in my laptop and as far as I know, I'm the administrator itself. When I opened Avast, it showed the message that Avast is blocked by Administrator. Windows could not start the Windows Update service on Local Computer.Īfter that, I assumed that there must be something wrong with my laptop, so I tried to scan for virus using Avast. When I enabled it by making it runs Automatic and Start it, it showed this message: It is disabled by default when I checked for it. I did some quick look up on Google and tried to start the Windows Update from Services. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80070057) There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. Whenever I check for update, it showed this message: So the problem that I'm having (and aware of) is that after I installed those apps and restarted my computer, I'm unable to check for Windows Update. I'm running the latest Windows 10 Home 圆4 that I checked for updates almost everyday. I was installing some apps but forgot since when was my laptop are infected because when I restarted my laptop, it's already having the problem. Yesterday I managed myself to get infected by some kind of malware or trojan that I'm having a hard time to remove.
